Panasonic Skyworth Discovery happened when I investigated a Panasonic television together with Panasonic representatives at IFA Berlin 2026 and what we found inside surprised even them. The discovery revealed that Skyworth\u2019s role in Panasonic\u2019s European television business goes much deeper than simply manufacturing TVs in the background<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I arrived at Panasonic\u2019s television presentation at IFA 2026 in Berlin, I was initially told that I could not enter, despite identifying myself as press, because the space was primarily being used for meetings with dealers and Panasonic had organized separate days for the press. I decided to return on the next day, insist, and eventually was allowed inside, something that turned out to be quite fortunate because what began as a visit to see Panasonic\u2019s new European television lineup quickly turned into a much more interesting conversation about what is actually happening behind the Panasonic name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The space itself was relatively small and unlike the large consumer oriented television areas that usually dominate IFA, it felt much more like a business meeting room, with Panasonic representatives speaking to retailers about the company\u2019s 2026 television range and the future of the business in Europe. I was particularly interested in that future because earlier this year Panasonic announced a comprehensive partnership with Shenzhen Skyworth<\/a> Display Technology and its group companies, a move that fundamentally changed the way the company operates its European television business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
